There are currently several grant options available to small business owners, freelancers, and entrepreneurs in Ireland. These schemes can help you access funding of up to €5,000 to support your online presence.

Website Grants in Ireland

Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to expand your digital presence, the Irish government offers funding support through Local Enterprise Offices and other public programmes.

The main website grants available in 2025 include:

  • The Grow Digital Voucher (up to €5,000)

  • The Trading Online Voucher Scheme (up to €2,500, limited availability)

  • The Social Welfare Technical Assistance & Training (TAT) Fund

Each programme has different eligibility criteria, outlined below.

Grow Digital Voucher - Up to €5,000

What is it?

The Grow Digital Voucher is the most current and widely available digital support scheme for small businesses in Ireland. It provides matched funding of €500 to €5,000, covering 50% of eligible digital project costs, including websites, online shops, email systems, CRM tools, training, and more.

Who can apply?

  • Registered businesses in Ireland

  • Trading for at least 6 months

  • Employ between 1 and 50 staff

  • Completed a “Digital for Business” review in the past 2 years

  • Apply through your Local Enterprise Office (LEO)

What it covers:

  • New website builds

  • Website upgrades (SEO, mobile design, UX)

  • Online shops and payment systems

  • CRM, automation, or email tools

  • Content strategy and training

Trading Online Voucher – Up to €2,500 (Limited)

What is it?

The Trading Online Voucher Scheme is a long-standing grant designed to support small Irish businesses that are taking their first steps online. It offers matched funding up to €2,500, covering 50% of eligible costs.

Who can apply?

  • Trading for at least 6 months

  • 1–10 employees

  • Less than €2 million annual turnover

  • Must attend a Trading Online Seminar via your LEO

  • Must apply through your local LEO (location-restricted)

Notes:

  • Second-time applicants must have completed the final claim for their first voucher

  • Some LEOs have phased this out in favour of the Grow Digital Voucher, check with your local office

Availability varies depending on your Local Enterprise Office. Always check your local LEO’s site or speak to their business support team.

TAT Fund – Social Welfare Grant Support

What is it?

The Technical Assistance & Training (TAT) fund is available to people starting a business under the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance. It helps cover the cost of services like web design and training.

Key points:

  • Must be approved for the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance

  • Grant must be approved by your Jobs Facilitator

  • Funds are paid directly to the service provider

  • Approval is not guaranteed; it’s decided on a case-by-case basis

TAT Fund is an additional support available under this scheme, and applicants need to speak directly to their Jobs Facilitator at their local Intreo Centre.

The TAT Fund is not automatic. You’ll need to speak with your Jobs Facilitator at your local Intreo Centre to confirm eligibility and approval.
