Kajabi for Coaches

Kajabi for Coaches: The Ultimate 2025 Guide to Building a Thriving Coaching Business

In the ever-expanding world of online coaching, one platform consistently stands out: Kajabi.

In this guide, we’ll dive into how Kajabi for Coaches streamlines your digital offerings, enhances your client experience, and helps you create a sustainable, profitable coaching business. Whether you’re an established mentor or just starting your journey, read on to see why so many coaches consider Kajabi an essential tool.

1. What Is Kajabi?

Kajabi is an all-in-one online platform that empowers coaches and entrepreneurs to:

  • Build professional coaching websites and sales pages
  • Host courses, membership sites, and group coaching programs
  • Manage email marketing, funnels, and automation
  • Integrate payment gateways for seamless client checkout
  • Track performance analytics to refine and grow your business

Rather than piecing together multiple tools (such as WordPress, Teachable, ConvertKit, and others), Kajabi consolidates everything under one roof. This approach can save you valuable time, reduce tech headaches, and help you deliver a high-end experience to your coaching clients.

1.1 Why Kajabi for Coaches?

In this blog post, I’m going to focus on Kajabi for Coaches because I have worked with coaches since 2020 and many of my clients tried Kajabi. That doesn’t mean in any way that other people shouldn’t use Kajabi, I’m merely focusing on my know-how here.

Even if you’re not a coach, you’ll still find many features here that apply to course creators, entrepreneurs, and content marketers.

2. Kajabi for Coaches: Where It Excels

2.1. Crafting High-Value Coaching Programs

  • User-Friendly Course Creation
Kajabi’s interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to upload video lessons, PDFs, or worksheets that support your coaching curriculum. You can effortlessly create modules, lessons, and quizzes to help your clients track progress.
  • Coaching Program Features
Kajabi’s dedicated coaching product helps you schedule 1:1 or group coaching sessions, send automated reminders, and manage client feedback—all from a single dashboard. You don’t even need Zoom for your calls, you can have them inside Kajabi and they are there, saved already.
  • Membership and Ongoing Support
If you offer a membership model for continuous coaching, Kajabi’s membership features let you drip new content weekly or monthly. You can also handle recurring payments and engage your community without extra plugins.

2.2. Upscale Marketing and Sales Funnels

  • Integrated Email Marketing
Kajabi’s powerful email marketing system allows you to send broadcast emails, automate campaigns (e.g., onboarding sequences), and segment your audience based on their behaviour and interests. To create an email in Kajabi, even if you have never done this before, is super easy. You also have pre-made templates if you don’t want to start from scratch.
  • Professional Landing Pages
Choose from polished landing page templates to showcase your coaching offers. No coding is required—just drag, drop, and customize to fit your brand style. Like the email, you also have pre-made templates if you don’t want to start from scratch; templates will be separate for categories including forms. Very easy to get started.
  • Seamless Checkout
Stripe and PayPal integrations give your clients secure payment options, while one-click upsells can boost revenue without complicating the user experience. One observation here: if you want to include VAT, you need to check your settings on Stripe instead of Kajabi. Make sure you contact support (and they are very helpful) to know how to do things properly and not have problems with your tax.

2.3. Insightful Analytics

  • In-Depth Tracking
Monitor student progress through each module, track client engagement, and analyze your sales and marketing campaigns. By understanding what resonates with your audience, you can refine your approach. You can see who watched what, and when they accessed the course including time. This can be very helpful to analyse your content, to see what people are accessing or not.
  • Real-Time Insights
Kajabi’s analytics dashboard updates continuously, helping you react quickly to trends—whether that’s a spike in opt-ins or a dip in course completion rates.

3. The Pricing Perspective: Is Kajabi Worth It for Coaches?

One of the biggest considerations for both new and seasoned coaches is pricing. Kajabi’s lowest-tier plan starts around $149/month (billed annually) and goes up to $399/month or more for enterprise-level features. As of February 2025, they’ve introduced a new plan—the Kickstart—priced at $69 per month, exclusively for new customers. I’m not sure if this plan will still be available by the time you’re reading this; in all my years working with Kajabi, it’s the first time I’ve seen them offer a plan at this price point.

Note that with both the Kickstart plan and the Basic plan ($149/month), you don’t have custom branding. This may be important to consider if you want to strengthen your brand identity.

Why the steeper cost?

You get a unified platform that replaces multiple monthly subscriptions, including web hosting, email marketing, course software, funnel builders, and more. Kajabi’s user community is large and highly active, plus customer support is known for being responsive and knowledgeable.

If you’re still testing the waters with a small audience, Kajabi might feel like a big investment. However, if you anticipate scaling your coaching business—and you value a streamlined, premium client experience—the ROI can quickly outweigh the monthly fee.

I want to add one final note from my own experience: Kajabi’s customer service is excellent, and its user experience surpasses that of other platforms I’ve tried. For example, you can simply drag and drop an image in Kajabi. In contrast, I once tested another platform at a third of Kajabi’s price, but I had to upload each image to a library, wait for the platform to generate a URL, then copy and paste that URL into the email header. That’s a lot of steps for someone who wants to save time. So before committing to a platform solely because of the lower price, test it out. It might save you money, but the additional tasks might not fit into your busy day.

Which Should You Choose?

If lower monthly costs and built-in webinars are top priorities, a platform like Zenler might be appealing. It offers a robust feature set at a more accessible price point, including native Zoom integration for live sessions. However, if you value professional design, an active support network, and coaching-specific features, Kajabi often emerges as the stronger solution. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your budget, branding needs, and technical comfort level.

5. Pros and Cons of Kajabi for Coaches

5.1. Pros

  1. Holistic Platform: From website creation to coaching session management, everything is in one place.
  2. Advanced Marketing & Automation: Set up automated email sequences, funnels, and upsells with ease.
  3. Coaching-Centric Tools: Kajabi’s coaching product makes it easy to book, track, and deliver sessions.
  4. Sleek Design Templates: Maintain a polished, high-end look that boosts client confidence.
  5. Robust Support & Community: A large user base, active forums, and excellent customer service.

5.2. Cons

  1. Higher Monthly Fee: The starting price may be a hurdle for brand-new coaches (remember that if you don’t need the branding, the new Kajabi kickstart plan can be your solution).
  2. Limited Design Customization: Templates look great but can restrict ultra-bespoke layouts.
  3. Overkill for Very Small Offerings: If you only have one digital product and minimal marketing needs, Kajabi might be more than you need.

6. Who Should Invest in Kajabi for Their Coaching Business?

  • Established Coaches with Multiple Programs: If you run group coaching, online courses, and memberships, Kajabi’s unified setup is ideal.
  • Ambitious New Coaches Ready to Scale: If you plan to rapidly grow your audience and revenues, Kajabi’s comprehensive suite will support that expansion.
  • Time-Strapped Entrepreneurs: If you’d rather focus on client transformation (instead of tech juggling), Kajabi’s all-in-one functionality is a lifesaver.

7. When Kajabi Might Not Be the Best Choice

  • Highly Specialized Funnels: If your coaching model requires ultra-custom funnels, Kartra or ClickFunnels might provide deeper customization.
  • Low-Volume Creators: If you only plan to release one evergreen course or minimal content, Kajabi’s robust features could be overkill.

Final Verdict: Kajabi for Coaches

For coaches looking to professionalize their business and streamline their operations, Kajabi is a top-tier platform. While it does come with a higher price tag, the unified approach—covering everything from course hosting to email marketing—often offsets the cost of subscribing to numerous separate tools.

If you value high-quality design, advanced automation, and a seamless client journey, Kajabi fits perfectly. Still, do your due diligence: compare costs, map out your growth strategy, and determine whether you need Kajabi’s full suite from day one.
